Elderwood at Liverpool is searching for a energetic, bubbly & hard working part time Rehab Tech/Therapy Transport Aide to assist our very busy 160-bed Skilled Nursing facility in Liverpool, NY. We just wrapped up a multi-million dollar renovation to update our facility including investing in new state of the art equipment for our Therapy staff! Our Transport Aides assist licensed therapists with patient related tasks as directed by occupational/physical therapist. Besides transporting and escorting our residents to therapy sessions, they are also responsible for documentation requirements as assigned by the Rehabilitation Director.
This is an part time entry-level position (working weekends from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM) and is an amazing opportunity for students, recently retired, returning to workforce, and people seeking additional income.

Duties of the Transport Aides:
+ Transport residents to and from the physical/occupational therapy clinics.
+ Assist in preparing therapy materials used in group and individual programs.
+ Help to maintain and inventory supplies and equipment. Keeps therapy clinics in order, and cleans therapy equipment on a daily basis as instructed.
+ Assist with clerical duties, (filing, copying , faxing, mailing, phone calls, etc.).
+ Attend in-service meetings planned by the Director of Rehabilitation services or other staff of the facility.
+ Attend Rehabilitation Therapy Department meetings. Attend Quality Care Council meetings as delegated by the Director of Rehabilitation Services.
+ Assist with daily record-keeping and monthly statistics pertaining to resident care treatments.
+ Report to the Physical/Occupational therapists regarding the residents' responses to treatment.
+ Ensure that residents are treated with respect and kindness at all times.
+ Attend staff meetings and required or preferred in-service training.

Qualifications of the Transport Aides:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required .
+ Experience in therapy treatment preferred.
+ Interest and ability to work well with the elderly required.
+ Caring, respectful manner toward residents required.
+ Ability to communicate well verbally with residents necessary.
+ Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required
+ Prior experience in the health care field preferred.
