Elderwood at Liverpool is searching for dedicated & compassionate RN Assistant Unit Manager (Long Term Care Unit) to aide our very busy 160-bed Skilled Nursing facility in Liverpool, NY. We are in growth mode and just completed a beautiful renovation our facility including investing in new state of the art equipment and iPads for our nursing staff! The full time Assistant will work directly with the RN Unit Manager on one of our 60 bed Long Term Care Units. The position is day shift working from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM with an every other weekend Supervisor rotation working from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Higher rates apply when working as a Supervisor!

Assistant Unit Manager Duties:
The Assistant LTC Unit Manager RN will assist with ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by being responsible for the nursing services rendered on one of our Long Term Care (LTC) Units during their work shift and being involved in the management of staff performance and responsible for nursing care documentation, implementation and reporting.

Assistant Unit Manager Qualifications:
+ Possession of a New York State license/registration to practice as a Registered Licensed Nurse (RN)
+ Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience and at least one year of experience in a leadership role preferred.
+ Possession of a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
+ Ability to utilize creative problem solving.
+ Experience or interest in rehabilitation nursing preferred, ability to relate well with residents required.
+ Experience/appropriate training and/or education relative to the types of patients admitted to the subacute unit is preferred.
